The FW&PCOA has been providing the voluntary certification of wastewater collection system operators since 1981. These courses are taught by experienced system operators and wastewater industry professionals in a live classroom setting. The association grants certification stepwise, starting at the Level 3 and progressing to the Level 1. Each course is 30 hours in length.

The Level 3 course examines the basic concepts of a wastewater collection system, including wastewater system inspecting and testing, safe procedures, lift station and equipment maintenance, pipeline cleaning and maintenance, pipeline repair and rehabilitation, and wastewater math. Manuals are included in this 32-hour course.

After registering online, students will receive course applications via email from the FWPCOA training office. If the email is not received, please contact memfwpcoa@gmail.com without delay. To prevent any hold-ups in obtaining your course results and/or certification, make sure to complete and submit the application with the required payment before the start of the class.

All receipts, confirmations, scores, and certificates will be sent via email. If you register using a utility email address, please ensure that your IT department permits emails from both Club Express and Virtual Badge.
