Reclaimed water, also known as wastewater reuse, is the use of treated wastewater that can be reused for other purposes. The methods of reuse currently include irrigation of gardens and agricultural fields or replenishing surface water and groundwater (i.e., water recharge).
Potable water means it's safe to drink. While reclaimed water is often used as a replacement for potable water for irrigation and industrial needs. A push is on to investigate the intentional use of reclaimed wastewater as a direct drinking water supply. Commonly referred to simply as potable reuse. The purpose of this survey is to gather our membership's opinions on Direct Potable Reuse so please take the tine to complete the survey.
